Story by Gay Lyons with photography by Kelly Kearse

The Tenth Annual Green & Gold Gala, presented by Navarro Research & Engineering, is the premier fundraising event celebrating Knoxville Catholic and her rich tradition of inspiring excellence. Catholic High School welcomed alumni, past and current parents, corporate representatives and community friends for a casual night “under the lights” at Blaine Stadium on the school’s campus. The gala honored “Irish Legend” the Honorable Tim Irwin, Knox County Juvenile Court Judge. Tim’s three children all graduated from Catholic, and he founded the Catholic Youth Football League in 2002-03. Charlie Susano, Knox County Clerk of Circuit Court Civil Sessions and Juvenile Court who works closely with Judge Irwin, served as auctioneer for the live auction. Proceeds from the Gala will support campus technology and tuition support for families impacted by COVID-19.
