David Jones is currently a Financial Planner for Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC. Starting as a runner at TIS Insurance Services at the age of 16, he went on to intern at UBS Financial Services his junior year of college, ultimately working in Private Placement and Alternative Investments. “I transitioned to Raymond James three years ago and could not be more pleased with the firm’s commitment to clients, employees and the communities in which we live and work,” Jones said. “I truly enjoy the people I work with every day and I have the best clients you could ask for. I feel very fortunate to have found this profession at such an early age.”

Specializing in helping family- owned businesses, Jones concentrates on multi-generational family wealth planning. “People are often pleasantly surprised that I am a very holistic financial planner,” he explained. “The wealth management component is a byproduct of the planning that I do. I have worked with clients on everything from selling a business to financing a vacation home. We pride ourselves on being the premier alternative to Wall Street, with all the resources of the big firms, while still maintaining a customer-centered approach to business. We build trust with clients to help provide financial independence and emotional well-being.”

A graduate of the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Jones would like to see more students from UT call Knoxville home after they finish their education. “Knoxville is a wonderful place to live and work,” he said. “I love that we sit at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and have rivers and lakes everywhere. I really appreciate the downtown community and the great proximity to the outdoors. I am a proud alum of UT and hope to see more alums stay and embrace Knoxville in the future.”
