STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY HOLLY LANE-ADREON
CASA of East Tennessee held its annual Storybook Ball at The Press Room in Knoxville. This year’s event theme was Peter Pan, making for a beautiful evening filled with enchantment, whimsy and wonder. The event featured a plated dinner, signature cocktails along with silent and live auctions. Guests of CASA’s Storybook Ball were able to help make an impact on children by supporting the important work that CASA does in our community. CASA of East Tennessee is a community-based program that recruits, trains and supports citizen- volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Knox County, giving them a voice. CASA volunteers work to discover a child’s best interests, collaborating closely with Knox County Juvenile Court, educators, medical professionals, community organizations, social workers and relevant government agencies to find the child a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
