KNOXVILLE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AND MIKE STEVENS HOMES PARTNER TO BUILD A STRONGER KNOXVILLE

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce a renewed and expanded partnership with Mike Stevens Homes, one of Knoxville’s most trusted names in homebuilding and a longtime advocate for affordable homeownership.

This collaboration marks a powerful return to Habitat’s mission for founder Mike Stevens, who served as Knoxville Habitat’s construction manager and qualifying agent in its formative years and later as board president. Decades later, that commitment endures, this time through a philanthropic partnership that brings together professional craftsmanship and community-driven purpose.

“Since I started Mike Stevens Homes 30 years ago, we’ve remained focused on helping more families access safe, affordable homes,” said Mike Stevens. “Knoxville Habitat is the most effective organization I know delivering on that promise. Our team is proud to support that mission and be back building with them.”

Over the past year, Mike Stevens Homes has sponsored the construction oftwo Knoxville Habitat homes, both now sold to first-time home buyers. A third sponsored home is already slated for construction this coming fall. This ongoing engagement is further strengthened by the establishment of a Donor Advised Fund, ensuring the company’s annual sponsorships continue long into the future.

“We’re excited to deepen this partnership with someone who has helped shape our organization and who continues to champion affordable homeownership in our community,” said Anna Engelstad, Chief Executive Officer of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “Together, we are building more than homes, we’re building futures.”

This effort reflects Knoxville Habitat’s core belief: that when we work together, we build strength, stability and opportunity for everyone. And it all starts with a home.
