Windy Hill Farm and Preserve Announces Expansion

Windy Hill Farm and Preserve, a boutique resort and hunting lodge, as well as working farm and wildlife habitat, has announced a $10 million investment to expand lodging and guest amenities on the East Tennessee property. Located in Loudon, Windy Hill Farm and Preserve will feature 18 total accommodations, including nine private cabins, an eight-room guesthouse and a spacious farmhouse for groups and large families.

Also coming next spring is an onsite 46-seat restaurant, Wilder at Windy Hill, focused on hyperlocal, sustainable cuisine. Led by Chef Ben Warwick, the restaurant will feature garden totable ingredients, transformed by an appreciation for international cuisine, to offer a fun and unique approach to well-loved Southern staples. Onproperty guests will enjoy three meals daily; a limited number of outside dining reservations will be offered nightly.

Windy Hill Farm and Preserve comprises more than 650 acres, encircled by two miles of Tennessee River shoreline, and nearly 75 percent of the land is dedicated to the development of native wildlife habitat. Activities on the property include hiking and wildlife viewing, farm tours and boat tours, archery, biking, kayaking and paddle boarding, yard games, gardening, beekeeping and cooking classes, whiskey and wine tastings, wellness events, musical concerts and more. “Guests who have visited the farm for a relaxing overnight stay in the farmhouse or successful upland quail hunt are eager to return,” General Manager Steven Brewington said.
