A native Knoxvillian, Robert graduated from Webb School and Ole Miss where he earned a degree in Finance/Marketing in 2005. Right away, he moved back to Knoxville and started working in the insurance business.

“In 2012, with Obamacare on the horizon, I decided to change my career path and got my real estate license and became a realtor with RE/MAX,” he said. “I hit the ground running and have been in the top three percent of agents in the Knoxville market in terms of production since 2013. Within RE/MAX, I have been a 100% Club recipient 2013 to 2015, and in 2016-2017 was The Platinum Club recipient.”

Just this year he was selected to be a participant of KAAR Leadership. Robert is married to Hailey and they have two dogs named Scooter and Gracie. They enjoy traveling, spending time on the lake and in the mountains; he plays golf as much as he can. They live in Riverbend and have recently joined Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.

Threlkeld credits his wife for nudging him to pursue a career in real estate. “She saw the need and opportunity before me, to be honest,” he said. “It has been one of the best decisions of my life … I have greatly enjoyed the process of building our business over the past six years and creating it to serve our clients and provide them with a top of the line experience. We have gone from just me wearing every hat, to bringing on my wife, Hailey, in 2013.” In 2016 they brought on their Buyers’ Agent, Hayley Relford and Client Care Coordinator, Heather Moffett.

The biggest challenge the industry currently faces is inventory, he said. “I’d say we currently have 10 buyers who would buy tomorrow, but there is so little out there it has created a catch-22. People would sell, but they don’t know where they’d go.”

When asked his ideal client Threlkeld said, “Each client and their situations are unique and we are invested in serving them all. We like to get a broad sense of their goals, motivations and life so we can best advise them and tailor a custom plan to achieve their real estate objectives.

An ideal client is anybody we can help do what they cannot do themselves. We know people have the opportunity to try to do it themselves with the objective of saving on Realtor commissions.

Our goal is to bring each client value far in excess of any commission they pay. We want to ensure we net them more at the end of the day and eliminate the headache of doing it themselves.

He went on to say their client base runs the gamut of life situations, goals, needs, etc. but they have created a niche in the relocation sector. They currently partner with Pilot Flying J,
Covenant Health, and the University of Tennessee and work alongside them in providing a top of the line experience for new employees. They have really enjoyed developing and refining this process and are very confident in our ability to provide the best possible experience in the market.

Threlkeld is quick to credit his team for their successes. “Hailey, Hayley and Heather are so crucial to making this thing run,” he said. “As a team we are able to proactively anticipate our clients’ needs and take care of many issues before they arise."
