Tranzonic Companies Hires Robert Gotham as Production Manager

The Tranzonic Companies recently hired Robert “Bob” Gotham as production manager at the national manufacturing firm’s West Knoxville facility.

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, The Tranzonic Companies has been in business for more than 90 years and manufactures wiping cloths; personal hygiene products; textiles; washroom supplies and accessories; wiping and cleaning supplies; and safety products. The Knoxville facility, located off Hardin Valley Road, is the largest manufacturing and distribution site for The Tranzonic Companies.

“Bob’s ability to streamline operations for better efficiency and growth aligns with our goal of creating a better way, every day,” said Brian Rhoades, vice president of operations in Knoxville. “He is a tremendous asset to our Tranzonic team.” Gotham has almost 30 years of experience in multi-plant operations.

Prior to joining Tranzonic, he oversaw operations for ACuPowder plants in Greenback, Tennessee, and Union, New Jersey. The company, now known as Kymera International, manufactures and distributes specialty metals.

Gotham earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from The State University of New York (SUNY). During his career, he has been trained in Six Sigma – which uses data and methodology to eliminate roadblocks in any process – and lean manufacturing; safety education and environmental regulation compliance; and quality assurance management. He lives in Maryville with his wife, Melody, and in his spare time enjoys exploring new places and meeting new people.
