Johnson Architecture's Heather Overton Earns Pellissippi State Alumni Award

Heather Overton of Johnson Architecture received the Alumni Volunteer Award from Pellissippi State Community College during its annual luncheon in April.

Overton serves on the Pellissippi State Board of Trustees, which comprises volunteer representatives from local businesses and community leaders, and graduated summa cum laude with an Associate of Arts in social and behavioral sciences.

“Our team members are leaders in the field and the community,” said Daryl Johnson, founder and president of Johnson Architecture. “Our firm believes in giving back, and we are so proud of Heather for receiving this award.” In addition to her service on the Board of Trustees, Overton serves on the boards of the Knoxville Association of Women Executives and Little Oaks Academy, a nonprofit child care facility.

She also has served on the investment committee for United Way of Greater Knoxville. After graduating from Pellissippi State, Overton earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in statistics from the University of Tennessee.

She was surprised with the Peggy Wilson Alumni Volunteer Award during the luncheon, which was held at the UT Visitors Center and included remarks by Pellissippi State President Dr. L. Anthony Wise.
