From Farragut High School, down to college at Ole Miss, over to an insurance company headquartered in Denver, Brandon Clarke has made his way around the country, eventually coming full circle. Moving back to Knoxville in 2005, he partnered with his dad, John Clarke, who purchased John Bailey Company in 1997. In June of 2018, Brandon Clarke purchased the agency and is now president.

He is looking forward to continuing what his father established. “I have seen hard work, grit and genuine care for people,” Clarke said. “I have seen my parents set goals and raise a family. My father has created an independent insurance agency focused around empowering employees and helping clients while setting a strong family foundation. We are the same people doing the same things; Dad still comes to work every day. My goal is to continue what he started and to achieve further success by helping to protect people and by giving back. I am proud of our past, and our future is bright because our team recognizes where we came from.”

Clarke believes the level of care provided, the insurance company choices offered and the diversity of insurance expertise combine to set John Bailey Company apart from the others. “Insurance coverage is not a one size fits all,” he explained.

“The true value of your insurance agent comes when you have a devastating loss. The team at John Bailey cares about the coverage and the outcome. The beauty of the independent insurance agency model is that we have multiple choices for coverage, quality of company and pricing. This enables us to shop around for the best option. Sometimes we advise a client to stay with their current insurance situation; other times we refer them to other agencies. If we are doing the right thing, good things will happen, and we are not always the best fit for some people and business models. That’s ok with us. At John Bailey Company our job is to advise on the right decision for the client, not just sell a policy.”
