Slated for Grace Ministries held its second annual fundraising event for women on Sunday afternoon, October 19th, at Two Rivers Church. The 200 attendees entered the building and were warmly greeted and encouraged to visit the silent auction. Coffee was provided by The Empty Cup Coffeehouse and Slated for Grace provided tea, water and lemonade. Guests were then guided into the main room where the tables were creatively decorated by women who volunteered as table hosts. Hostesses brought a centerpiece arrangement in the signature color for Slated for Grace - lavender, along with decor and crudites to share with their guests. Guests enjoyed beautiful worship music to open the event followed by a welcome and Introduction from Paige Christenberry, Treasurer of Slated for Grace. After a brief video featuring testimonies from Slated for Grace participants, Danielle Walker, Pastor and Founder of Slated for Grace Ministries, gave her gospel message on the importance of being “surrounded” by other followers of Christ. She explained how the community of Slated for Grace seeks to strengthen women in the Word of God by surrounding them with a safe community to empower them to serve others in Jesus’ Name. Her favorite example is how female elephants in the wild come together when another is in need and surround her. When a sister is down, they gather around. Being surrounded with support and encouragement in faith is an integral part of Danielle’s vision for the Slated for Grace Community.
