When did May become so busy? Between school festivities, graduations and the end of sports seasons, everyone seems busier than ever. Calendars quickly fill with banquets, performances, tournaments and celebrations as families try to squeeze everything into the final weeks before summer begins. As we move into June, we can finally take a deep breath and look forward to the slower pace of the summer months that encourage us to slow down a bit and enjoy the season. Yet summer often reminds me how important planning ahead can be. Summer vacations often require months of preparation, from booking accommodations to coordinating schedules and setting budgets.

Planning ahead for a vacation can be exciting. I love choosing destinations and anticipating time away with family and friends. I consider browsing airbnb listings more of a hobby than a chore. Preparing for long-term goals and unexpected emergencies may not be as enjoyable, but it is even more important for creating stability and peace of mind. That is why I am pleased to share this month’s financial issue of VIP Knoxville highlighting local finance and insurance professionals who spend their days helping others prepare for the future. Retirement planning, investments, insurance coverage and financial goals may not always feel urgent in the middle of busy daily life, but thoughtful preparation can make a tremendous difference down the road. As you read through this issue, I hope you find valuable insight from the financial and insurance professionals who shared their expertise and experiences with us.

Thank you for continuing to support VIP Knoxville. We appreciate every reader, advertiser and community partner who helps make this publication possible each month. I hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful summer!
