Second Saturday Concerts!
If you like live music and outdoor entertainment, there are three Saturdays this summer that you need to mark on your calendar.
The Second Saturday Concert series is back for another year, and concerts start June 9. The parks and recreation department will be hosting the concerts at The Cove and New Harvest Park.
The concerts will be held June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11. The concerts are free and family-friendly, and there will be a food truck at The Cove during each concert.
Native Knoxville bands will be playing at the parks, including the Rockinfellerz, Wild Blue Yonder, Crawdaddy Jones, Jennings Street Band and Freequency.
Concert-goers should bring their own blankets and lawn chairs, and no alcohol is allowed at either location.
Both parks have activities other than the concerts, including playgrounds, walking trails, and more.
