ALIVE AFTER FIVE - BOYS NIGHT OUT

May 17, 2019

Boys’ Night Out was organized in 1983 with the goal of recreating the authentic performances of the Rhythm & Blues and Carolina beach music that had been extremely popular in the south during the late 1960s. They have provided musical back-up for R&B greats Percy Sledge (When a Man Loves a Woman), Archie Bell (Do the Tighten-Up), and Clifford Curry (She Shot a Hole in My Soul); and has opened shows for The Impressions, Marcia Ball, The Tams, B.J. Thomas, The Platters, and more. With the recent deaths of two prominent band members, guitarist Jeff Ginsburg in 2014, and lead singer C. Vaughn Leslie in 2017, they have regrouped in order to carry on. The Boys now have a girl, Kathy Hill, who shares singing duties with former Soul Sanction vocalist, Bill Capshaw, and they’re still keeping the beach music in their soul.
