The Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation will hold its 29th Annual Evening of Elegance benefit with the theme of “Rolling out the Red Carpet. The event is organized by the foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1983 to help expand the range and quality of health care services available in Sevier County. The event includes a seated dinner, entertainment, comedy, dancing and live and silent auctions to benefit LeConte Medical Center and other nonprofits, including Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, Helen Ross McNabb Center in Sevier County and first responders. Sevier County native and icon Dolly Parton, one of the many babies delivered by Dr. Robert F. Thomas, serves as honorary chair. The event, typically held in August, has moved to March in 2019.
