STEEL MAGNOLIAS

L.A. Theatre Works, Susan Albert Loewenberg, Producing Director presents Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling

Steel Magnolias remains one of the great stories of female empowerment and resilience. The L.A. Theatre Works national tour features a diverse cast of six extraordinary women. Within the walls of Truvy’s beauty shop, set in the deep Bayou of Louisiana, are six strong women whose lives increasingly hinge on the existence of one another. Together, they absorb the passing seasons, just like the weathered wooden structure of the salon “home” that they share.

Under the leadership of Producing Director, Susan Albert Loewenberg, L.A. Theatre Works (LATW) has been the foremost radio theater company in the United States for four decades.

On the road, LATW has delighted audiences with its unique live radio theater style performances. An L.A. Theatre Works performance is immediate, spontaneous, and features a first-rate cast, live sound effects, and a connection to the audience.

A unique experience where the actors direct their dialogue to the audience, with costumes, sound effects and small sets, this is an intimate theatre experience not to be missed.
