Story and photography by Megan Venable

Random Acts of Flowers held their annual fundraising event, The Garden Party, at the home of Mary Ellen and Steve Brewington on a bright and sunny spring afternoon. Guests were ushered by trolley from the Trust Company parking lot to their nearby home and welcomed with a buffet bar-b-que and heavy hors d’oeuvres, as well as cocktails overlooking the Tennessee River. All proceeds from the event will benefit Random Acts of Flowers in their efforts to improve the emotional health and well-being of individuals in healthcare facilities. Deliveries of arrangements of recycled, fresh-cut flowers provide recipients with encouragement and personal acts of kindness.
