Rick McGill's Airport Toyota Presents $10,000 Donation to Cancer Institute

Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota Presents $10,000 Donation to Cancer Institute at The University of Tennessee Medical Center Donation supports the Breast Health Outreach Program and Mobile Mammography Unit. Representatives from Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota presented a donation to the Cancer Institute at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. The presentation took place with Dr. John L. Bell at Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota. Since 2016, Rick McGill’s Toyota has donated a total of $70,000 to the Cancer Institute at UTMC to support breast cancer research and outreach. This year’s donation for $10,000 will once again benefit the medical center’s Breast Health Outreach Program, which provides screenings and education to women in East Tennessee. Supporting breast cancer research and outreach is a priority for Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota. “We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, so we are honored to make a contribution towards fighting cancer in East Tennessee with the help of Toyota USA and our customers and staff,” said Rick McGill, founder of Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota. The Breast Health Outreach Program is a unique grant-funded program that provides essential breast health services in 21 East Tennessee counties. In addition to providing mobile mammography, free breast health educational classes are offered on-site to businesses, churches, and other convenient community locations throughout the region. These classes focus on the importance of early detection including screening guideline updates and warning signs of breast cancer. “On behalf of The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Cancer Institute, we collectively wish to express our deepest gratitude to Rick McGill’s Toyota and their staff for their ongoing, longstanding support of the Breast Health Outreach Program and our Mobile Mammography Unit. Without their support, we would not be able to continue to serve our 21-county service area and fulfill our mission to serve through healing, education, and discovery. Lives are saved from breast cancer early detection made possible by their support. We are grateful and look forward to continuing our relationship.” Said John L. Bell, MD, Director of the Cancer Institute at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
