Editor's Letter

I get by with a little help from my friends… As I sit here writing this, I’m in my fourth week of not being able to walk while recovering from a recent surgery. I’ve spent a lot of time this past month trying to do things myself only to give in and rely on the kindness of others. It’s made me truly appreciate my community, my neighbors, my colleagues and my friends. I’ve felt very loved over the past month. Having someone there to carry my groceries or to get my mail is something I took for granted. It’s these little acts of kindness that stay with you. I’ve also spent the past few weeks getting to know the couples featured in this issue. Some of them started off as friends, some started off not even liking each other, but in the end they all had a similar story. They all shared with me that moment that they just knew they’d found the person that they would spend forever with. For a majority of the brides, it was a moment of kindness or selflessness that attracted them to their future husband. It just goes to show that a little kindness can go a long way.
