Story and Photography by Megan Venable

As part of its 50th anniversary this year, the East Tennessee Community Design Center organized an art auction and invited supporters to see the items available online and in person. Attendees were scheduled to attend at specific times on two different dates in order to keep the headcount low at all times. The art was displayed in a staged condo at City Place, the new residences on Vine Avenue downtown. Guests enjoyed refreshments in a large outdoor area behind the residences. All funds raised will go in support of ETCDC’s mission to make East Tennessee a better place to live and work by bringing professional design and planning assistance to community groups and nonprofit organizations.
