VIOLINS OF HOPE

January 23, 2019

Strings of the Holocaust

The Stanford Eisenberg Knoxville Jewish Day School will bring Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust to Knoxville. Violins of Hope is a collection of more than 50 restored violins that were played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. The instruments survived concentration camps, ghettos, pogroms and long journeys and now provide remarkable stories of injustice, suffering, resilience and survival. The Violins of Hope will feature the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Hallerin Hilton Hill and a once-in-a lifetime experience to prove hope can be found in the darkest of times.
