The 2018 Legacy Parks Foundation luncheon will feature Pete McBride, acclaimed National Geographic Explorer and National Geographic Adventurer of the Year. He will serve as guest speaker and share stories of adventure and outdoors and his passion for river conservation.
Pete McBride is an award-winning photographer, writer and visual storyteller whose love of adventure, cultures and the outdoors have taken him on assignment to over 75 countries for the National Geographic Society, Smithsonian, Outside, Esquire, Microsoft, The Nature Conservancy – documenting remote expeditions from Everest to Antarctica. Over the last year, McBride hiked the entire length of Grand Canyon National Park—over 700 miles without a trail.
